Join us for a lunch talk with YC partner Jared Friedman and Cornell/YC alum Alexander Kates. Before joining YC as a partner, Jared co-founded Scribd, which was funded by YC in 2006. Scribd grew to be one of the top 100 sites on the web. Alexander Kates is both a Cornell and YC alum, and his company Vetcove was funded by YC in Summer 2016. You’ll have a chance to hear their stories, and Jared will talk about how to evaluate good ideas, share trends YC has seen recently, and he’ll talk about what to focus on while you’re in school if you’re interested in starting a startup.
