We’re deeply interested in education because of its power to transform lives and societies and to maximize human potential. On a micro level, we believe technology can help reverse the trend in K-12 of spending more and more money to achieve the same learning outcomes. We put together a map that shows where YC companies are from. It’s based on the location of the founders before applying for YC. We believe the global startup ecosystem can support a lot more startups. We would love to see even more people starting companies and we will continue to increase our outreach efforts. As more people from different backgrounds apply, more startups will be funded, a wider range of problems will be addressed and the positive impact will be felt around the world.Sep 11, 2017

We’ll update this list as we add locations. In each of these cities, you’ll get a chance to meet people in the YC community (either the YC team or alumni). We’ll be hosting talks and one-on-one offices hours.Aug 25, 2017
